A look at the Zeiss Loxia 35mm f2

If I had to get rid of every single Zeiss lens I own for the Sony E Mount and only keep one, it would be the Zeiss Loxia 35mm f2.

A lens designed after the M-Mount Zeiss Biogon, this Loxia does something that not many modern lenses do.

At f2, the lens has a magic glow for environmental portraits. Sharp enough in the center to have a modern requirement but with character.

t is light, fast enough for my needs, and a joy to use. The focusing is precise and when used with focus magnification and focus peaking, focusing is a breeze.

The lens really shines with landscape photography as well.

The other aspect that I enjoy with the 35mm Loxia is its usability in video applications. This is lens renders colors beautifully and because of its ability to have a soft glow at F2 and also achieve a modern look from f2.8 up to f11 it’s sharpest aperture.
