Shadow Recovery In Capture One

I wanted to share a quick tip when capturing and editing your images in Capture One. When I shoot in locations where there’s a big difference in light and shadow I tend to expose for the highlights like this.

As you can see, most everything without natural light is very dark. Using the High Dynamic Range slider on Capture One I can easily recover the shadows

Every photo is different and will require

different adjustments but here we can see

how the shadow adjustment brought back

all the details in the shadows without

clipping the highlights.

This is a quick and easy way to get more out of your photos. As a tip don’t shy away from pulling up the shadows on your images, you might be surprised with what you have!

I know there are more technical takes on the Zeiss Touit. I am sharing why I like it, keeping it light and relaxed. Comment below on why you like the Zeiss Touit lineup for FujiFilm
