Thinking Creative

In the last couple of years, I've been randomly taking images of myself. Usually, I'll stand in front of a reflective surface and take a snap. It will happen sporadically and lately, I've been doing it more frequently when I go out to shoot during a trip.

When I started this practice, it was to test different focal lengths. Slowly, I noted that my reasoning began to change. I wanted to work on "filling" up a frame or to see what kind of layering I could accomplish with reflection. I think this is a great exercise for any creative person and something fairly simple to try once you get over the mindset of maybe it is self-absorbed.
